Suburban Grid Tie System

This is good idea if you live in suburbia. However, it sounded like a political nightmare to get it all approved. Would have been worse if they had an HOA. The other drawback is anything other 115V is still tied directly to the grid (seperate meter) so you can't run your stove or dryer when you're on the batteries. Good news is, their electric bills have been very small (< $35 a month) and he's feeding back into the grid. If everyone could do this, it would be a great way to reduce demand on the grid.
